As to the figs, I wouldn't worry about them too much. You could remove them if you wish or just leave them. What you need is to let the plant develop some more roots and adjust itself to the new pot and show some active growth before anything else.

I must add that your pot is too small for full sun, especially on a new plant like yours. Keeping it mostly in shade will reduce the potential of root overheating which might inhibit growth or perhaps kill your new plant.

When ready to up pot without disturbing the rootball, perhaps you could slip the tree out after preparing the new pot put it in and cover gently with soil. This step could be done at anytime, it's just a question of how easily the plant can be removed from the small pot.

Thanks for the reply back, don't know if you'll read this, so it's been in that pot for a little over a month, should I put it in and out of the sun daily? Maybe 3 to for hrs a day or just keep it in the shade the bud on top literally just broke like yesturday you can now see a curled up leaf about to spring out, so that's got to be good, and what size pot would be safe for the eventual full sun? Thanks
