Is this genuine? That picture is a screen capture from my video thumbnail. That fig did not come from the tree pictured. I'm guessing that the picture of the fig tree is not his either. Wow that's shady! I would stay far away from that listing. Here's an idea for you to obtain a real UC Davis Ischia Black. Round up a few nice cultivars that you are willing to trade. Start a new thread with what you are looking for and what you have as trade. This has led me to some great trades over the last few years. There is an Black Ischia in Europe which is different to whatever the UCD ischia black is I believe. The picture on the ebay add was copied from Tom(New England Gardner's) video. If you look carefully you can see its a screenshot. "Mine come from Porquerolles conservatory created with the Pr. Rivals collection which had an important part of the Condit collection from where it comes. Pr. Rivals made his collection in the 50's and he was in close contact with Condit". So I believe he got the same UCD one. By the way I was told by someone that the UCD Ischia Black source was condit, can someone chime in some light on this information please as I'm not sure. I did not sell cuttings of it last January as my 2 trees from Tom (TMC2009) have been slow growers as is typical. I obtained cuttings from Herman in November 2015 (he obtained his from Davis 13 years earlier) and grafted them onto BT and they are growing vigorously with the tallest over 5' tall. I planted that one in the ground last week and have 7 more in pots and will plant those in the ground this next week, I hope (clearing a new area for plants just being grown as stock for cuttings).
