Dennis, Look like you still have a bit of empty space here and there. You should be able to fit a few more on the deck. :) Fig shuffle must be brutal with that many pots.

I am well! Say after seeing photos of your Col Littman's Black Cross, I was inspired to locate mine and kick it in gear. Today, my 2 trees are doing great!

Good eye Richie!!!

I love these Superoot pots! They work best with pure compost and drip irrigation. I learned a hard lesson years ago when I first used these pots. I used a peat moss base mix like miracle grow and on a 90 degree day, the water would just roll off and not penetrate the hot soil. I repotted with compost and the problem was solved. In the previous photos, you saw one tree, GM-102. This pot is a 7 gallon pot. The pot works great b/c the tree does not allow the roots to circle. The roots go straight to the air hole and prunes itself. Here are a few more trees in 7 and 10 gallon pots. These trees are, Black Jack, Italian Honey, Brogotto Bianco, Strawberry Verte and a few others.

I brought one of my Strawberrry Vertes inside my laundry room because it has figs swelling and getting ripe. I have a sneaky rat problem that won't take my have-a-heart trap. He doesn't come out close to the house but I don't want to take any chances because this is an awesome tasting fig. It's the one in the first pic above.

Those trees do look like they love those pots. And you have a very nice various types of figs trees. Its a great year for figs.

You never have to root prune trees in these pots. As the tree grows you just move up to a larger pot. My largest pot is 12 gallons. The original company that made these took their design over to Europe and now sells 26 gallon size. Those pots are thicker and tougher. The copy cat company in the states makes these thin ones that doesn't last long. These pots are expensive but worth it if you never have to root prune your tree. But again drip irrigation works best on any hot dry day.

Now that you mentioned imitation, where do we find the real thing? Sounds like the kind of pot one should have. I like the fact that they are higher and thinner than traditional pots.
I have a theory that higher and tighter pots might work better with potted fig trees. I'm thinking of getting a couple for testing purposes.

I am surprised no one mentioned my Avocado trees in the background of one of my pictures. I have 4 of them, 3 Fantastic and 1 Joey. Both are hardy for my climate. They are the tall pots in the third picture.

Dennis, I hang out "over there" mostly. It is just so stinking hot and dry here. Mid to upper 90's every day
and only 1.50 inches of rain since the beginning of April. I have given my in ground trees a drink its so bad.
Just hope it doesnt turn into another three year drought.

Sas, I'm not sure they can grow in pots. But I will grow these until they max out a large 27g pot. They don't like too much water on their roots but seem to love 1/2g of water daily on my irrigation system.

It was a fight for time this year for me to get my irrigation system up and running. From busted hoses to broken emitters, I finally got everything stable.
