What type of fig is this? It was growing in the backyard of our rental here in Los Angeles and I started a cutting about 10 years ago. It is a fast grower; I cut it back last year to its trunk and it has grown back with a vengeance. Figs are mild; bronze with thin skin and they split when ripe. Pink on the inside with what I would call an open eye. Below are pics of fruit and leaves.

Thanks in advance!

Probably Archipel, or one of several other names for the same thing. The one I have was mis-named Osborn. Nice fruit when they are fully ripe.

Thank you! I agree..a decent fig when properly ripe. When picked early, lots of latex. And not alot of flavor or sugar. Grows insanely fast and very productive with a long season here in LA.
