This supposed green ischia tree was bought from a nursery. Most of the leaves are 3-lobed with 2 cankles. The fruit tasted like honey with the freshness of cucumber and a slight seed crunch is present. There's also that aftertaste that lingers reminiscent of having drunk a merlot and disappears after 15-20 minutes.
Purple at the stem and deep purple/black the rest of the way. It's slightly larger than a quarter coin. The only thing I'm sure of is it's not green Ischia. What is it?

What nursery was it acquired from? Maybe find out what else they had in stock that it could have been mislabeled from. The light interior color suggests maybe Archipel or Neveralla. Some sources say that is a synonym for Osborn Prolific. The varietal database in F4F shows a red interior for the Osborn Prolific (? caprified ?) and a lighter color for Archipel / Neveralla. There are other purple figs with a light interior as well, that one came to mind though

Thank you for your thoughts. The nursery owner said he carries green ischia, brown turkey and an unknown if it doesn't have a tag. He said the plant is whatever is on the tag. He didn't know anything besides that.

I thought of LSU Purple also, but the inside of my first year fruit last season was a little more pink

Could the inside color change with age? I don't know how old this tree is, but the trunk caliper is about an inch. You can see the trunk in the first and seventh picture.

The various stages of ripe LSU Purple. Over ripe to the point of raisin, perfect ripe and under ripe. Inedible, tastier than the last fig tasted, and okay taste.
Yeah, this tree deserves the purple color. Only royal blood could be this prima donna about picking at the right time to get better than okay taste. I hope this tree ages like wine.
Am I missing something here?

Update- Tasted the last ripe Unk. LSU Purple today and surprisingly tasted the best out of all the limited varieties I've tasted. It' a surprise because of the amount of rain here almost everyday. It was less sweet than Celeste, but there was a subtle creaminess and slight wine aftertaste that is just right. I could munch on this fig for an hour or two. Definitely looking forward to when it is an established and taste-stabilized tree. Yay! A great surprise!
