Isn't White Madiera suppose to be the same as Coll De Dame Blanc? I thought there was an old post about that?

I have never heard of white Madeira. I'd be interested to know if it was the same as CDD blanc

I should have either cuttings or trees available for sale next year.  I am pretty certain nobody has it available yet.  I believe Tan only shared it with Steve and Steve sold one set of cuttings (which I bought and grafted) and I think gifted a cutting to a friend.

Dave, I've not heard that claim before, the fruit and leaf shape appear different to me.  Some of my trees have fruit on them so I will post samples when available.

I should have some cuttings for sale again this Fall as well from the White Madeira #1.  It's a healthy plant but not a rampant grower like some varieties thus I won't have a huge number of cuttings.  In addition to the sale to Harvey, I've traded and given this variety away to a few other growers so there are some others who have it now.  Mine has a good crop on and I'll post on them once they ripen.

Dave, I had not heard anything about the relationship between WM #1 and CdDB but I have grown the UCD CdDB and WM#1 and they are not the same.  For one, thing WM#1 ripens earlier.  It seems like Tam did post something about a CdDB tree growing in ground (as well as others including WM#1) so maybe that's where the confusion arises.

Brandon, I believe Herman2 once mentioned in a thread that he thought Adriatic JH might be a "white" fig that comes from Madeira given its similarity in leaf shape to Black Madeira.  But I think that was speculation.  Maybe he can weigh in here to clarify.

Another complication is that I think Tam posted on (or at least mentioned) one or two other White Madeira figs in addition to WM#1, hence the numbering system.  But it was WM#1 that he showed the most photos of in that very long thread.
