Rabbits ate the leaves off small fig cutting, is it dead?

Hello, I have a nice neighborhood family of rabbits that apparently eats fig leaves. The taller cuttings were left alone, but 2 small cuttings were stripped of leaves. They only had 2-4 leaves to begin with. Is it over for these guys? Most fig plants can push new leaves if the stems are intact but with a new cutting it depends on how much energy the cutting has. If it's old enough the next time you water you might want to add some very dilute fertilizer. Use something like 1/4 - 1/2 houseplant strength every time you water but never over water. Pictures of the plant would help. Pictures of the roots if they're in a clear container would also help. If they ate down to the base of the leaves and also ate the buds, you may be in trouble. It's a wait and see prospect. Earlier this summer squirrels killed one of my Salce cuttings by breaking off the branches and damaging the surrounding tissues. Last week a groundhog ate a Strawberry Verte cutting to the soil line, but that plant is pushing new growth from below the soil now.
