My fiancé and I planned to incorporate the planting of our first fig tree into our wedding ceremony since my grandfather was an avid fig grower and recently passed away...but his tree unfortunately was not taken care of by my cousin whom he gave it to before passin so we cannot get a cutting from it like we had planned...
We are looking for help finding a decent size but small fig tree rooted cutting to plant in our ceremony on sept 17 - I can't find fig trees anywhere right now in Ohio! Please someone help us find some. Thank you!!

Hi Nattybev, Your usda-zone would help a lot, especially if planting in ground. Your preferences would help a lot : are you looking for dark color, light color, for eating , for a shade tree, or a particular origin, or a particular strain ? By the way, be careful a white dress, clean shoes and dirt don't mix too well together ... I think LOL.

I don't remember what type. We aren't too set on having the exact type since there is no one who is able to tell us this info :( though he was from Italy and I believe the tree came from a plant from his grandfather so anitalian origin would be great though not mandatory...
We are in zone 6a and will pot plant it and bring it in the garage over the winter. We want figs for eating and we can do sun or shade. Hope that helps!

It seems you would need an RdB or MBVS.
I can give you the cuttings but don't have a rooted plant and it is not enough time to root them .

I have a 3 years Gino'S fig in a 4 gallon pot, that ,should be the right variety for Ohio climate, it is healthy strong and it has 10 fruits that will ripe on or before your wedding date. This ,I guaranty is a delicioso,Italian fig, that can take Winters in Ohio, even if it is in Ground. Make me an offer, and if you want to come get it,I am northeast of Philly. See ,Young fig in pot and ,Mother tree here in my garden, plus close up of fruits from mother tree.
