bought this fig last year from local super market.  label just said "hardy fig" and staff did not know what variety it might be or how to find out.
Any way, The plant looked to be in its second year, but it said "hardy" so I planted in ground  just in case it was not I took an air layer for safe keeping as well as saving the receipt.
It survived the winter, with protection, and both the air layer and the in ground have put on figs. The air layer in pot is ripening, the in ground not yet. I will post a pic of ripe fig when I get one. but or now here are pics of the plants.
any ideas?

I'm not the expert veteran poster here on the forum but your fig looks like the Hardy Chicago which is Mt Etna type dark fig with red center . I have the MBVS and that leaf and fruit look very similar to it. You got a very good tasting fig and prolific too. Congrats!
