Yesterday evening I got to taste my first forastera de can reviu, I didn't even know what color it would be until I seen it in Pon's book last week. It was very intense, sweet, and in the same category as Black madeira. The Jack lily was also good but not quite as good as the FDCR. I almost got rid of it because I knew nothing about it but I am sure glad I kept it! __________________ Ryan Zone 9a SeLa, wish list:

Looks like an interesting fig thanks for posting. Jack Lilly looks nice too. I have fig called; forestera c'an revue I assume that is the same fig. Lots of figlets on it should ripen in September. Well Pino, when I got these cuttings it was mispelled but it is the same fig as in Pon's book so I got the correct t spelling from there. I can't really compare it to cdd because I am not having any luck getting to taste a good cdd, the ones on my cddb are splitting wide open now. Yes it is Pino, this is where I got it Las higueras en las Islas Baleares : campo de experimentación de Son Mut Nou, Llucmajor, Mallorca : Monserrat Pons Boscana, Monserrat Pons Boscana, Miquel Sbert i Garau : 9788461582150 even though it is in different languages that u can't speak, I still find it helpful and I also enjoy the pictures, lol. __________________ Ryan Zone 9a SeLa, wish list:

Thanks Ryan. I see now I was given the wrong spelling. Mine wouldn't compare to col de damas but they are very good, the rain washed out some flavour and the pill bugs ate a ton of the skin. __________________ Canada Zone 6B
