This fig is spectacular. They are large figs, in the photo below was a smaller fig that was ripe. The tree is behind a fence with a big dog, so getting cuttings is almost a Mission Impossible.. LOL Luckily it has a branch that goes over. It has an almost Preto Fig taste, maybe they are related or its the heat here.

Like the red pulp and deep purple skin. Now, if only it's easy to root. Your mission, Armando, if you choose to accept it... : )

Very nice, Armando! Can you describe the taste?  The color is beautiful!  The leaf is very interesting too!

Flavors it appears varies with the temperature and if it got pollinated by a fig wasp, fig was in shadier part of tree and the amount of water given. So far the ones I ate were rich in flavor and a small hint of concord grape.

Update: I became friends with the dog, Unfortunately they cut the tree back severely, from 10 feet tall to about 3 feet. Luckily it's still alive......I have learned the hard way, I should of gotten a few cuttings when I was able to, I was waiting until fall...Oh Well.

Oh, i know that feeling, Armando. My Goodwill fig tree has been chopped off, not pruned, chopped! I keep thinking, I wish I could have gotten some branches! Im keeping a close eye on it this fall!
