There is a seller of figs on ebay uk, called edengrovenursery. The seller is in the UK, although she says that she can send plants worldwide but is asking £45 a plant which is more than I can afford just now. Just out of interest has anyone bought from this seller? I was hoping to buy cuttings but haven't had a definite answer from her yet.

As mentioned in the PM,Eden Grove is Liza Mallah, sells more mature plants imported from within the EU,hence the higher price than the standard 1-2ltr pot 1 year old plants we usually see for sale. She is or was at least a member here.Have only ever heard good things although I have never ordered myself,I'm far too frugal and I think my wife would flip if I spend £40 on (disparaging tone)'another plant'

Liza was selling large quality trees on eBay USA and shipping from out of the country. The larger trees will give you harvests earlier and are more abundant. You have to decide if that is worth the extra cost.
She is still on Facebook but her website edengrovenursery.com that links off of her Facebook site isn't there. I was wondering what happened to her. A Col de Dame Blanche that I bought from her started producing gray-black fruit and when I try to contact her my eBay emails don't deliver. Other trees I've bought from her on eBay have been true to variety and are the best I've bought anywhere.

Thanks for all your replies. If I could afford it I would go for one of her plants but at the moment that isn't possible. Still, one day... :)

If you are after gentile be sure to get the right one because lots of nurseries sell Gentile Bianco which got an amber interior as gentile. It's not their fault, they just don't know.
Cheers
