Simply the best free resource out there. I use the really big ones for roofing sandboxes and tool sheds, truck and wheel barrow liners- and anything that needs to be waterproof. Good for compost heaps and even making aquaponic pools.  They will be all over the place the day after the election and don't get just a few. The uses are almost unlimited. Once you start using them, you'll wish you had gotten more.

The inks used in outdoor signs are usually very toxic.  Take that into account when you use them.

Here in Phoenix, I think they'll arrest you for taking them. They have people that come and take down most of them.

Around my area, the signs end up lingering for months! And then they end up at the curbside. If there is good use for them, i totally believe in up cycling in a way that eliminates furture toxic contamination. I would really like to have strong legislation supporting after-election clean-up by each candidate.

I called the Candidates offices. They were more than happy to give me permission to take the signs. They have to pay people to pick them up. I will be making big planters, weed rings (around bases of trees), more linings for bottom watering boxes, building a lightweight tool shed, and for use as a weed blocker in specific areas. More idea's brewing as we speak.

The plastic signs don't last very long in extreme heat à la Phoenix
