I am holding this auction in honor of Rafed, who has generously helped so many of us build our collections. He is a true gardener and a pillar of our community, here's to you Rafed!

The auction ends at 9 pm EST, Tuesday July 15th, bid price includes priority shipping. Winner pays the foundation directly and I will ship once I receive confirmation from Jon.

Easton Vasilika comes from Easton, MD where it was planted more than 50 years ago by a plant collector/breeder. It has been identified as Vasilika Melissi, but by any name is an outstanding fig. Late to ripen but still top quality even in cool conditions for me.

Wow Brent,
I did not see this coming. I don't deserve this.
But thank you very much.

And thanks for helping the F4F Foundation.

Good luck to the winner.

Just wanted to add to Brent's comment....Rafed is one of the most generous people I've had the pleasure getting to know while being a member here.  Thanks for being a prime example of a GOOD PERSON.

Wow.. you guys are awsome!  Rafed, you do deserve the recognition, along with a handful of others that are always here to lend good advice to us (occasional) tree killers.

Thanks for doing this auction to support the foundation, Brent!  That is a beautiful fig.  I would bid if I could afford that much. In fact, I was ready to bid until I scrolled down to see the latest.

You guys are amazing.
Thank you all for the kind words. You too deserve the same recognition as I am. It took many great members and private collectors for my collection to get to where it is today.

Without your generosity I would not have been able to pay it forward.
I cannot allow myself to accept this recognition without including my dear friends here in this great forum.

But the real man of the hour is Brent. He is responsible for bringing this together. Not me.
Hats off to you, Brent.

Best of luck to who ever the winner is. That is mighty fine looking fig.

Happy figging

She's still mad at me?

Pickled mango in curry from India for the inquiry mind. Got to have a taste for it.
Tell her I'm going to send her something else to make her forget about it. Lol
