I think that the question was more: " how many kg of fruits did you harvest ?"
To see if that way of growing is efficient or not . Growth is good, but I'm more interested in fruits :) .
By the way, you should still be harvesting ? don't you ?

What I would try next year, is : let the shoots grow and pinch at 3 nodes, and then let them branch and grow .
That will slow down the growth while giving more branches for fruiting - hopefully.

As for not branching, I have the same problem. If I don't pinch, they don't branch out and go flagpole style - then most get pinched in winter and thus I get branching every 1 meter or 1,50 meter.

I'm more interested in seing how you prune back each year :) so, if possible, don't get rid of that bed ... Grow a new one - that would help you compare different strains.
I would be interested in knowing if in the future years, the trees would be more productive, fruit be bigger ...
If you're looking for ideas of new strains: Pastiliere, Dalmatie, Longue d'aout, ..., are known for their small size.
Blackmadeira would be a good candidate as it seems to be slow and sought after for cuttings :) .

As for the height, the more branches, the shorter the branches will be , so I would try tricking them to branch soon in the season.

How does Battaglia grow for you? Maybe that would be a little slower. Mine is healthy but a slow grower, could be circumstantial though.

I have not kept track but if you look at the pictures every single node has a fig.  As I have mentioned bush style would not work in that spot.  Yes still harvesting and will be well in to December I would imagine.  

If I pinch them it would quickly become a tangled mess i'm afraid.  I think the real answer is more verticals but not sure I will get more of them at this stage.

Would not mind a stepover of the Longue De Aout, quite enjoy those.  It is a thought.  

Pruning back is no mystery..you count up two nodes from the horizontal and snip......

Not sure BM would get enough sun in that spot.

It actually grows well for me so not sure about that one.  I think I will try the Longue De Aout as one......maybe do a few of them and see what works out the best...or the grafting:)  Just not sure.

If you end up pulling up any of those VdBs, let me know I'll pay for shipping to send it to me :)
