This one did not have any splitting problem due to rain. It has a closed eye. The eye has a drop of honey when fully ripe. It has a honey cantaloupe type flavor. |

Bass, you and I need to meet along with others to have a fig exchange. I love all the middle eastern varieties! The matta fig looks excellent. |

Bass , gotta hand it to ya another light colored fig from the mideast. Look forward to seeing that Ronde in future as i dont think mine will ripeing in time as our Canadien friends have something in store for my area i think later on weather wise. I'm trying to get this variety back into my collection. I introduced it a few years ago, but 2 years ago I lost it due to the cold as I didn't protect it, and wasn't planted in a good spot. |
