Here are photos of my Violette Dauphine for comparison. I included photos of the leaf variations from my tree. The first leaf below is from the immature tree in 2012. The leaf appears more deeply lobed and serrated. The leaves in the other photo represent the more dominant shape as of 2014. They are quite large and three to five lobes. FigWhisperer, hard to say if our Violette Dauphines are of the same variety. The difference may be that your figs are caprified given your location. Nevertheless, this has been a very productive and exceptional fig for my location. I am growing this fig in a container. It has a tendency to grow some limbs downward. It would make a great espalier. |

Despite its small size, my top Breba fig for the summer of 2015 is the Dauphine! It is not a (Violette). |
