Very nice.  I hope you get to enjoy your fig bounty this season, and that you are doing well.  How are your figs doing?

Thank you!
I think if you like light color fig this one so far must to have..
Don't split, and seems like heavy producer , don't drop any figs..
This one from last year cutting, so grow fast enough...
Thank you, Jon!

Hi, Dan!
I try to post good tasting figs..I today pick up my first LSU Gold..
If I will compare White Greek and LSU Gold on taste..I will give LSU Gold -1 and White Greek -10..
I was little bit surprise about LSU Gold..

In the next few days, my Vasilika Sika will be ripening several figs. Thus far, they look exactly like the White Greek fig you posted. Even the leaves look the same. In previous discussions it was speculated that Vasilika Sika, Dalmatie, White Greek and Stella may be the same fig variety. We'll see.

Congrats Olga -- another quality fig. Is your White Greek from Jon ? My understanding is White Greek is not productive but your tree sure is. My White Greek tree is not as large as your tree. May be next year I can get some figs. This year I am pumping it with lots of miracle grow.

@ Leon  --  that's an interesting comment that Vasilika Sika could be Dalamtie, Stella & WG. Looking forward to your posting on Vasilika S soon. My VS is very healthy compared to the other named possibilities. Hence difficult for me to compare leaf shape.

My Dalmatie don't look like this one..I root few cuttings of Stella this year, they still small, but seems they don't like to much water.. White Greek like water very much.. I don't have Vasilika Sika, so I can't say nothing about this one..
Suppose Vasilika Sika a very good one, so if they are the same..I will be  very happy:-)
Please, post pics of Vasilika Sika when they will be ready and I will love to hear your opinion about the taste..
Thank you!
Olya.

This year for some reason many figs produce very good, much, much better then last..
So, I hope I done something good, with new soil, lime, fertilizer and pine barks..
Specially I think I done everything in right time..
So, I hope yours White Greek will give you many good tasting figs!

Olga, this is my 3rd White Greek. The first two trees died. Last year my 3rd tree came & it was doing well. Somehow this year it had a difficult start and had a serious mutated growth. So far, I had pump it on a regular diet of Miracle Gro fertiliser and now it is back on track of good health. Yes,  Jon highly recommended this variant. I had pinched off all WG figs to go for growth.

Olga, Let it get a little riper, and you won't believe how much better it will be.

Leon, I have suspected that this is the same as Vasilika Sika, but my VS hasn't fruited yet, for comparison. I don't know how VS could be any better than this fig.

Martin, This fig would make you a believer in non-dark figs.

Far superior to Dalmatie. Had ripe Dalmaties this week - not even close.

Congrats Olga. It looks very delicious.

It would be interesting to compare it with Lemon's VS when ripped.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Thank you so very much for posting the pics!
Please, post again when you will pick it up..
Now I just hope to hear from Jon..His opinion will decide if they are the same, or they are two different varieties.. And I will need to look for Vasilika Sika..

But this one real taste very good..:-)

Picked the Vasilika Sika yesterday. It could have used one or two more days but had a lingering rich flavor to it. Not overly sweet.

Is anyone growing White Greek in the more northern areas and can attest to hardiness? and resistant to splitting etc...  Might be with a very good green fig, might be able to fool a few birds and squirrels.

Leon leaf you posted sure does resemble Dalmatie posted on Planet fig.
http://planetfig.com/cultivars/fcvfra8589.html

I do have Dalmatie from Baud and Stella these two if not Identical they are surely related. Still cant tell the difference between the two. My white greek didn't make it so I cant compare with the other 2 at this time.

Nice pic's Leon. Thanks.

@ Nelson  - My White Greek growth is back on track. Currently giving it lots of TLC and hopefully I can have a tree for your new home next year.

Hey Paul glad your tree is doing well please no rush. Enjoy your tree when it gets too big and you have to prune it then I would be more than happy to accept your offer.

Nelson ... No pruning but an airlayer to cut waiting time to fruitation.

@Olga...I need to add the White Greek to "my list"...had not heard of the VS before, so must go do some reading on that.  Back to the WG, have you waited a bit longer before trying another one?   I wait for your updates/posts on your fig tasting escapades with anxiety....how I wish you were not so far away!!
