I used Jon's new bag method and it put out a leaf and stagnated.  Two weeks ago I took it out of the perlite mix it was in and put it in Al's gritty mix.  Last week no change.  This week when I got home it had put out 2 more leaves and had roots.  I think I'll try that with my last stragglers.
