Pastiliere should have fine hairs. Shape is off too. What about the eye and leaves? Did it produce a breba crop?

As Ruben asked ^^

From the fruit alone I would lean more to the VS for again as Ruben mentioned the lack of hairs or "fur" similar to a peach on the fruit and this fruit is very oblate. Even the VS has a different shape fruit if I recall, more pyra.

Do you have any background information on the cutting or tree?

Has a VS shape to me, but the skin has too much of a bloom.  VS version of Barnisotte has skin much like the Bordreaux.  Need leaves.  They're pretty different.  The various flavors of Barnisotte has bright green and shiny large 3-5 lobed leaves, Pastilliere has tri-lobed leaves.
