This was my mother's only fig tree. It was killed down to the ground when a steam pipe broke above it the week she passed away 5 years ago. It came back from the roots a year ago between two of the greenhouses from the remaining roots. The figs are dark, light to medium red flesh and sweetness from my memory. No clue what it is. I did take two cuttings off of it when I was vsiting two weeks ago. golden tan when ripe, inside light red |

Just too many possibilities, without seeing pics of the ripe fruit. The leaves look a bit like Red Italian (see Jon's variety page: http://figs4fun.com/Thumbnail_Red_Italian.html ). But not sure if that fruit matches your description. Post pics when you get some ripe figs after your new trees are big enough, or if you visit again when there's ripe fruit. |

Looks like its Italian Red based on the fruit when ripe is golden tan with a light red inside and the leaf pattern |
