Congrats, H2. I'd like to know your pruning strategy. Might you prune the tallest branches once the breba have ripened and rely on the other shorter branches for main crop? |

No I am not pruning these 2,because my wife wants them tall trees to provide shade. |

Okay, I saw some branches had been pruned low so I thought others would later be pruned. Just stay off of ladders and let the birds have the fruits up in the air. I had a bad fall from a ladder and try to keep my trees fairly short unless I can pick them with a device on a pole. |

Well Harvey ,the low pruned ones died from frost,it seem some trees are like that, they sacrifice a couple of branches in order to save the rest,of the wood by canalizing antifreeze, energy to the branches it wants to keep. |

Hi H2, congratulations on your breba crops this year. I ate one breba off my Atreano here in 2011,and was pretty good. It doesn't seem to hold it's brebas for me here very well. The main crop is a huge over abundance of figs, though. My tree is about 6 years old now The Atreano that ripen late in the cool weather of Fall are to die for, otherwise they are mild, but good. Probably too much heat here and they ripen too fast and don't develop their sweetest flavor like in the Fall. I just got a couple small Tacoma Violet started this year. How rain tolerant is the Tacoma Violet? |

Tacoma Violet resist rain very well,in fact last year when many cultivars did sour badly,Tacoma Violett was ,one of the few that I could harvest some good fruits, but not all of them. |

Herman, Would you say that Tacoma Violet is as cold hardy as Marseille Black Vs? |

I can't say that because ,Tacoma I have for 5 years, and these past 5 Yrs were all 8F or higher,While Marseilles Black Vs resisted to -4 F. |
