Tami , I was just looking for granulated lime today , but will check out HD for the crushed limestone in the morning. Do you like it better? |

I think that was what they used at Belleclaire? The trees all had a layer on top of the soil and I want to try it. I believe it leaches into the soil as you water and if thick enough helps with keeping bugs out (mosquitos here) and helps retain moisture. |

yeah.. it wasn't the one on the link.. it just said lawn lime on the front, but if you read the description on the back it said fast acting lime. garden lime that i use is from espoma. espoma garden lime has no issue whatsoever. i put some on two weeks ago and everything is fine. |

espoma lime does cake. in some cases, if it's evenly covered over the top of the soil, it will cause water to collect without draining. i have to watch water draining and if it gets stuck, will have to rake the top of the soil to let the water drain. |
