Hmmm... 2 brown sweet ones (brown turkey?) and a green sour (?) one...all that for $7000!  Who could pass that up?

The people on this forum could easily control the world economy if that was the case...LOL

Rewton , that's where my mind went - 2 Bt's . But what's a  green sour ? Doesn't sound remotely appealing!

Tami - true !!  LOL!!

As they say, a little knowledge can be dangerous .

For a mere $7,000 you too can be the owner of a green sour fig!

That has to be a joke!

One can buy a lot of 2 - 5 year old fig trees for that cost. Easily a few thousand.

People can dream of finding a sucker, they say one is born everyday. Clearly an educated consumer is not what he is looking for...

Something tells me someone is sitting and reading this thread and getting a kick out of it.

This cannot be real. I'm not buying it ( so to speak ).
People can dream of finding a sucker, they say one is born everyday...
P. T. Barnam gets the credit but..... ""There's a sucker born every minute" is a phrase often credited to P. T. Barnum (1810–1891), an American showman. Though this phrase is often credited to Barnum, it was more likely spoken by a man by the name of David Hannum, who was criticizing both Barnum and his customers." ...according to Wikipedia and we all know their word is gospel! lol :D

Sometimes some people do forget about or placement of the (in)famous decimal point?

Gorgi, yeah I figured there are missing decimal points in both ads....just poking a little fun. :)

If that's true. Then $70.00 for 3 big trees and $25.60 for several big trees are steal.

Its fun to search craigslist.  Look at this ad for some nice varieties.

http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/grd/3991611156.html

Maybe if the person with the ad is on this forum they can tell us if they ship?

Ha so I am just curious and made a few phone calls.
It turns out that the $2560 is indeed a typo. The lady meant to enter $25-60. I am going to visit her tomorrow.
The 3 tree for $7000 is probably for $70.00. She is sending the video to me and want my best offer.

Now this one doesn't list any prices...  But he does list Madeira, black triana, and a gold turkey (that's a new one for me)
