Keep in mind , this is my first year for any amount of figs over 2-5 . Sooo I'm really excited that I'm getting more this year. A few at a time are getting ripe. Sal's C was semi sweet could have stayed on tree a few more days . Celeste - a couple were very sweet one was just so so. Chicago Hardy was just ok, barely sweet. It's still a young tree though or maybe needed to stay on tree longer. Maybe a few others when ripe will be better.  Kadota won over all - creamy , ,honey sweet 8 out of 10 ! BT was maybe a 5-6 out of ten in sweetness.

Pattee,

For a beginner this is super.. a good crop of very nice and delicious looking figs !

I am sure you are doing everything right and -as per the book-

Keep doing the good work and next year you will have a sizable basket full of figs !

Thanks guys ! A few other varieties hopefully will ripen, but they are young trees. Still, I'm hoping to get a taste  this year.

That's a beautiful assortment.  Good things come to she who waits.   WE got one tiny ripe one and I was tickled pink over it.

Pattee,
Thanks for the pictures and commentary. Congrats.
I tried to kill my kadota this winter by leaving them out in the weather (5 gallon buckets), but they grew back from the roots, have over 3 feet of new growth and produced figlets. Given your fig description and since they have proven hardy, I will plant them in ground and see how they perform next year. Thanks.

Thanks Mike , Sophie,Bugs, John and Smaritza. Each day now I am picking 1 -4 more. I have a bunch of other varieties that aren't close yet - so hoping they ripen to extend the season.
