My tree only produced a few figs and they are pretty small, but vey large in taste. An excellent fig indeed! |

Barry, are you growing the plant in a pot or in the ground?

Bob This was grown in a pot, don't think it is hardy enough for inground in my zone. This is truly a good fig Rafed, regardless of color, too bad some people don't know what they are missing |

I have a small one of this variety in a pot that has some fruits on it. Considering the mother plant (not vigorous), the yearling cutting from it is surprisingly healthy - so I think they will mature. I'm looking forward to trying them. :) |

Tam, I stink at taste descriptions, to me it was very sweet, had a rich flavor, maybe a bit of berry and a bit chewy texture. Sorry I'm not more descriptive |

Barry: Thank you. Did the skins have chewy texture? |

Yes the skin was somewhat chewy. It seems to take a while to ripen, a bit longer than most too |

My only ripe fig on my first year tree was amazing. Almost like strawberry jam with a honey aftertaste. No crunchy seeds. It is the best tasting fig that I've had this summer. It's a keeper. |
