Dear All,
I have a greenhouse where temperature in am is around 80’s and in pm it is around 60’s. Should I put fig plants in greenhouse or in garage? What will be good for fig plants? What is the minimum temp in garage that I fig plant can tolerate? Last question: What about small fig cuttings? Garage or greenhouse?

Thanks a lot,

I'd keep them in the greenhouse, especially the small ones.  Figs don't have to go dormant.

If me.
I would keep the 1st year small 1-3gallon plants in greenhouse and older larger plants in garage.
Would utilize greenhouse for fig shuffle to awaken plants in spring and get a few weeks jump start
on a new season.

Look at my zone and you see what i mean it gets cold here with garage temps in the teens even though its attached to house.

Imran,

Hi. I am also in Staten Island.  What type of greenhouse do you have?

Hi Danny,

I have an attached screen room with my home that I have transformed into a greenhouse. I can leave the door open at night so heat (centrally heated home) distributes in the greenhouse too.
Best,
Imran
