i only use honey for making mead. with heavy concentration of whatever that makes honey, it won't have enough moisture to promote growth of things like mold and such. like jam and preserve and salted cod. but wouldn't that draw fruit flies? |

I am rooting my cuttings in honey water solution right now. 1 tsp honey + 1 litre of water. I have no mold issue. And I am hoping they will root soon. Norhayati |

I have heard from others it works quite well but I would only use it for indoor cuttings due to insects etc. |

Norhayati, Could you tell a bit more about your procedure? Do you root in the honey water only, no soil? |
