I started a Yellow Long Neck on Jan 31st that I got from HarveyC. (along with several other cultivars) Using sp moss in a plastic box, scored and dipped in Dip N' Grow. |

I love the look of that fig. I started a couple last year and they died on me. I have a super special 'tip cutting now', and I am treating a bit differently. I took one bubble wrapping bag (about 2" x6" or so), cut several holes into it, and filled with moist spagnum moss, and put my special Long Neck in it. and into the box with lid it went. It is going on about 10 days now, I did not look for a week but noticed the moss getting too dry, so I opened to see, and it was full of calous and white nodes for roots. The tip is still asleep and tucked in. I may have a tree out of this one soon! Fun! I wish you luck keeping yours alive. |
