Home Depot has 4" Bonnie plants on sale this weekend. There are some hybrid and some heirloom, they look pretty decent. I bought some for a science fair project and some to play with in hydroponics. |

James, you will have much better luck with locally grown small plants. Get them from your local nurseries, farmers markets and farm stands. Plus, it will help to support your local farmers. |

I usually save the seeds from previous season and or after tilling in everything next season |

Bonnie Plants are usually some nice looking plants. They also have a good selection of heirloom tomatoes. |

I planted some bull horn peppers last year from seed. While Home Depot I spotted some bell peppers in 3" or 4" pots at a decent price. (I don't remember the brand.) All the plants got the same treatment: same soil, same fertilizer, same exposure. Bull horns went crazy. Bell peppers did nothing, nada, zip. I can't explain it, but guess what I am growing this year. |
