I'm not sure if he's guarding all the cuttings, only protecting that one Excel cutting, or just trying to hide, but I thought he was so cute it was worth a pic or two:

You can get an idea how small he is on the first leaves of that Excel cutting in a 4.5" pot!

I LOVE that picture!
I have lizards living on almost every fig in the yard. They hide in the bamboo poles if I get too close. I also have them on the dragon fruit which makes me happy. Keep those damn bugs off my fruit please :)

I've lived here all my life and always had Green Anolas for as long as I can remember. I believe those are Bahama Anolas and for the last 7 years we have had those in my area. Maybe they have been here all along but I don't think that's the case. They are much more aggressive than the greens and I don't know if they are native or not.

This is Stoopid, so named for him obsession with trying to do mating dances and puff out his throat to all the green tape holding the dragon fruit to it's poles.

He's also highly challenged with turning the appropriate color to match what he's on. You can see the tiny bit of black...that's as good as it ever gets!

All I have left is the smart lizards.......the dumb and careless have already ended up in the ducks gizzards:)  Still a pile of them around though and the skinks.

No ducks here Will but I did have to get him out of the Chihuahua's mouth a week ago. She jumps up on the bench on the deck and had his tail hanging out of her mouth!
