What can I say VdB is a good one! Has that nice sweet raspberry jam taste.

Thanks for the photos. They all look delicious! How does this one compare to the Valle Negra breba?

Do they all grow as slowly as mine? I have four - two from cuttings, two from tissue culture. All of them are alive and well, but the slowest growers of all. At this rate, I'm not sure if my VdB will be big enough for me to let it keep fruit even next year. Enjoy your treasures!

donpaid, Actually they were very similar. I liked the VdB a little better because it was the most ripe.

Paul, I have a few that are pretty good growers. I also have a couple that are slower.

Cyberfarmer, question... When you say it's a slow grower, about how many days or weeks does it take for it to get a new leaf?

Sorry for delayed answer. Let's just say that I rooted my VdB at same time as many other cuttings that are now in 3 gallon containers, while my VdB are in 1/2 gallons and have no more than two leaves. The leaves are very small and seem to be growing, just growing very slowly.

I top dressed all of my VdB about four days ago with some bone meal and guano and then watered in with a seaweed / mycorrhizae tea. The two I started from cuttings are now showing some fresh green tip growth. The two that were from tissue culture still have no new leaves since I got them about six weeks ago.

I'm waiting for our Negronne first crop to ripen. Second crop looks like it will be a good one too

This was a good year for my VdB breba. This is the last one. It had that wow factor!
