This is another good fig. It reminds me a lot of Longue d'Aout, if not the same.

One year these will produce for me...  How did you like it?

Bob, I think it's a keeper. My plant is fairly young. I'd give it an 8 for taste.

Looks good to me. Is this in ground, or in pot, Art?

Art, I was just reading back on many of the post from Johnparav in Toronto about this variety and never could
find anyone say it is the same as LdA. I did find where there were statements saying it was similar. Mine will
not fruit this year so I cant help yet.

Mike, Thanks and I will be looking forward to your posts of Niagra Black in the future. I will be picking some LdA tomorrow to compare.

I hope it is not Longue d'Aout. Currently I have 2 in ground Ld'A trees.

I have both, LdA and NB, in 3 gal pots. Should be able to tell if they are the same next year.

I have 5 or 6 figs on one of mine hopefully they will ripen within the month but they are still green. I've put it in the greenhouse to try to find some warmth with our crazy weather lately. The figs are unlike any in my collection... distinctive ribbed skin while green. Does anyone have any pics of LDA still green to compare??

Everything about it points to LD (aka Melanzana Merdascola). But I would refrain to label it the same till more comparisons are done. IMO

Looking good, Art.

Rafed, me too, except mine is the short bus. I would put this one on my list, except that if it's Longue d'Aout, I already have it and hope to have fruit nest year.
