Nice looking but I think it would be a splitter in So. Florida. Yes/no?

Will be interesting to discover if Binella and Binello and/or Gallo are the same fig.

Art,
Thanks for sharing the pictures and Info.
Could you please post a few leaf pictures? Thanks.

There was a older discussion on Gardenweb about this variety, http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/fig/msg0614090722373.html with several currently active F4F members.
Pictures and comparisons were made by Mountainman0826.

Pete, thanks for posting that link. I had read through that thread repeatedly over the last months. This winter I had in ground Kadota, Texas Everbearing, Banana, and Binello, but not Binella. Binello (Gallo?) a 1st year tree fruited early and relatively heavily. Eventually, a nearby Banana (2nd year tree) fruited a little, I think 5 figs. The 1st year Kadota and Texas Everbearing did not fruit. All came back from ground dieback.

I doubt the Banana fruited in time to ripen. Will see. Here is a photo of the Banana:

The unripened Banana figs are smaller than the unripened Binello / Gallo? figs. The unripened Banana figs are maybe comparable in size to the unripened Mount Etna strains. The Banana figs appeared much later than both the Etna and Binello figs so possibly the unripened Banana size will increase somewhat?

Art,
Thanks for the reply.
Have you had kadota, Banana or White Texas Everbearing to compare to Binella?
Thanks.

Pete,
I have what I think is Kadota. The only difference that I see is that my Binella doesn't have that thick rubbery skin.

Art,
Thanks, that was actually the answer to my unasked question!  : )
