This is from a cutting of a tree found at a for sale home when I was in Paducah,Kentucky with my wife in April of this year. She was at the quilt show and I was searching for fig trees. It appears to be similiar to the Lebanese Red of Bass.(Edit: Or maybe my Lebanese Red is not) Only difference is the tree from which it was taken is probably 20 years old. The figs on my plant are only about the size of a dime and have been red since half that size. Never see the final result this year. Could this possibly be the |

Keep us posted with photos when one is completely ripe. I think you have something really nice, the pattern of the leaf looks unique, maybe because it is a young plant. Keep us posted, this could be a really good find, even if it is not Lebanese Red. I will keep an eye on this thread to see the input of the experienced members. Thanks. |

I'm a first year grower with little experience, but the leaves and little reddish-purple figs look like my 2y old VdB |

I agree it looks like a fig in the VdB/Negronne/Petit Negra family. With what we have to go off of. |

Again, I'm a rookie, but my VdB figlets were about that color at 3-4mm size, knocked all off except one which is hopefully gonna ripen next month. |

I agree that's not a Lebanese Red, more like the ones mentioned above. |

Immature VdB figs will turn red when small if they're exposed to sun. |
