Got this Fig from my Black Jack Cutting! I rooted it this last Winter and it gave me a present,only 1 Fig, but I got it before the birds and Squirrels! Thought, I would take some photos of it. The taste was not top of the charts, but it was sweet and Berry tasting. Will put it in the ground next Spring...: ) |

Congrats, Frank! When you say 'seedling', do you mean the fig was started from a seed? |

Congrats, looks better than most other black jack pictures I have seen. Nice tight eye and no huge cavity inside the fig. |

Nice Looking Fig Frank, I tasted a few Black Jack here at our local nurseries and these over here, they did not have a berry taste.....Are you sure its a Black Jack....maybe yours or the ones here are mislabeled...LOL |

Very nice! I too have Black Jacks, with two tall mature plants in large pots and some one year olds in 5 gallon buckets for now. Just turning ripe here in Kansas City area. Still have quite a few green ones that are just starting to blush and swell, so thankful that our weather is holding out so they can ripen! |
