I'm in Michigan obviously. Can I ship plants to California? Is it legal without a nursery inspection? |

As in potted plants? If so don't think so. |

There are restrictions for shipping plants to pretty much any state but California has higher enforcement than most in an effort to protect the large and diverse agriculture sector. |

I have two air layers to ship. I just bought I three raspberries and there were all sorts of things on the package. Makes me second guess sending these out. |

I was thinking about bare rooting a young fig to send to California now that it's dormant. It's ok if you get all the soil off, isn't it? |

Too strict in CA. As Harvey said the state has too much to lose if something bad comes around through the mail. Please don't but if you do label what it is clearly so the mailman or inspector can see clearly |

"It is unlawful to ship or transport any plant, cutting, animal, fruit or vegetable into California that does not comply with quarantine requirements." |

APHIS directly informed me that it is legal to ship "fig" cuttings or "fig" plants to CA only from CONUS. Of course, we know there are a lot of restrictions internationally. Since then, CONUS sellers have sent me dozens and dozens of "fig"cuttings/plants with not a single issue or discussion with postmaster or USDA |
