I have a bit more information on the origin of this fig since I posted about it earlier this summer.
The cutting was brought here several years ago from the owners of the tree in Italy. It came from the Town of Ruviano in the Province of Caserta, which is located in the region of Campania. The name of this fig is unknown, but I'm sure they would like to know if it actually does have a name. The family still lives there, and still has the mother tree. Can anyone help identify this fig?

My Stella Cordi has one fig on it.  It looks just like your pictures.

My stella has the typical finger type leaves could this be Dalamatie that would be my guess

Any chance you can get your hand on some cuttings? If so please pm me. It looks like a keeper for sure but I still think it is Dalmatie and could be relatively FMV free Dalmatie at that. 

   

Here are more pictures of the tree itself showing the variety of leaf pattern. Maybe this will help with the identification. For me, this is a slow growing tree. I may be able to take a few cuttings this fall/winter.

Not "Dalmatie", and my two cents go to "Goutte d'or" .
Wait a bit for my "Goutte d'or" to ripen and I'll compare the inside of that fig :) with mine

This is one awesome fig, I hope the taste matches its size, huge.

Looks like my Stella with the cluster towards the top and the shape of the leaves and figs, yet that fig is bigger than the first Stella I've picked, and I doubt the others will get that large. It would be interesting to know the weight of those. Mike in Hanover, VA

Thanks for all the input. It looks like I'll have a couple more ripening in a day or so. I'll check the weight. This is a big, sweet, tasty fig for sure.

This is fast becoming one of my favorite green figs, if not the favorite. The weights on the 4 figs pictured are (from left to right) 106g, 84g, 117g and 87g. Very sweet and juicy with seed crunch too.

Something made me take a cutting off of mine last fall,I'm glad I did.

Scot, nice new pictures. The largest Stella on my plant so far has been 88 grams, and they have not been as red inside. This could be because they tend to split with rain or morning dew, and aren't as ripe. The exterior on mine is more yellow though with sugar spots, where as your figs are more green. Maybe you get more sun, or maybe it's a different fig, though in most ways, it does look like Stella. Mike in Hanover, VA

That is an amazing fig. I don't know if the standard fig photo protocol (with the quarter) does this justice. It looks kinda big in those pictures. But when you show it in the palm of your hand .... MAMMA MIA!
