These are all super sweet and delicious. This has been one of the best years for figs ripening and flavor. Perfect weather maybe? Not too dry, not too wet. It could've been hotter, but I'm not complaining. |

The Persian White looks less "white" and more strawberry interior than I thought it would... |

How would you (or anyone else) classify the Persian white? Equivalent of a White Marseilles? Honey fig? Verte/Battaglia Adriatic? |

My Persian White was purchased as a cutting from Bass in the winter of 2012. This is the first year it has produced figs for me. Here is the description on his web page - Trees of Joy: Originally from Northern Iran, this fig has an excellent taste and very productive. Light green skin with yellow pulp. Medium size fruit. I'm not sure why mine is showing a darker interior. Maybe zone 5 weather this fall? Really cool nights and really warm days. Here is a picture of the tree (taken this morning) showing fruit and leaf. That one probably still has a few days to go before its ripe. |

Scott very nice pics thanks for posting. How does your Sicilian White compare to the Italian Golden Honey? Which do you like better? |

After reading Bass's description of the Persian White and noticing that he also sells Atreano (which I've had for years, and purchased directly from Belleclare Nursery), I'm beginning to wonder if there was a mix up in the cuttings, and my Persian White is actually his Atreano instead. The pictures represent my Atreano tree from Belleclare and my Persian White from Bass. The leaf pattern is very similar also. Any thoughts? |

I thought the pics I've seen of Persian White (tho I haven't grown it) are a little similar to White Triana and do have a pinkish/reddish center. I think interior color can vary fig to fig year to year too even in the same climate and not necessarily grounds to suspect a mix up. Yours seems to have thick skin tho, could it be a breba or not 100% ripe? I'd guess yours is probably the correct one :). |

These do look like the Persian white I have for sure. I picked a couple this year and were looking darker inside. |
