Jolly tiger figs are a Chimera of a popular Japanese fig, possibly Masui Dauphine. Here's a fig that ripened off a non variegated branch of the Jolly tiger.

Bass i know there is a variety of MP that is called col de dam blanca - nera which on the same tree has both white and black figs.

I never seen a non variegated branch turn variegated again, I am sure it might be possible.

It tasted sweet, not very rich, will need more figs to sample.
I think that's the same variety grown commercial in Japan greenhouse culture.
 

I have a few jolly tiger all from 1 starter cutting. 1 started straight green and is still all green. Two are all variegated and 1 started variegated and recently reverted to green on the last two leaves. Very strange. Should I assume that the fruit should taste the same?

Good question, to me the striped fig and the all black fig on the all green branch both tasted the same.
