If anyone is interested in buying a Figo Preto, I just posted one for sale on ebay. I currently have 4 Figo Preto trees so I figured this would be a good way to recoup some expenses. Thanks for your time and please post here if you have any questions. |

Sue Vanessa- I'm pretty sure that's her name. She was the one who discovered the original Figo Preto tree in Point Loma, CA. She sent me some cuttings from the original tree and I used them to grow the tree up for auction. I put the initials of who I got my cuttings from on the pots to better identify them. |

Preto is a very slow grower. What is the size of the tree. Also can we just order it straight from you...??? |

Where in Point Loma, CA , was this tree discovered. Was it in a public park or a private yard ? |

It's in a private yard of a Portuguese lady who passed away in the past year. Figo Preto, Figo Branco, and Abebereira are all in the same yard and were brought here 50 or so years ago. |

Didn't take long to go out of my price range. Good luck to the winner! It's going to be a long week for this one. |

Hi Armando, the tree is two feet tall from the soil line. Thank you for asking. |

Ok Charkie, I was the Hi bidder. The key word is was. But for almost one minute. I don't think luck is needed in this game. But good luck anyway. |

Those of us in CA can't participate in most of the ebay auctions for prized figs, so this one might have a larger audience. I hope you do well with it, padsfan. |
