Adding 170ish new varieties (I hope) that is what I have trades arranged for.  At the moment have 134 new varieties in coir rooting.  When they are done will take cuttings from some of my inground trees and start those.   So.....maybe 700-800?   Not all will make it of course.

Did you get those online or locally?  I can't source super coarse perlite under $55/bag and the large bales of coir are hard to find as well.

Bob,

The super coarse perlite which they call sponge rock was $32 for the 4cf bag.  Online it said $38, but she charged me $32.  The coir was $1 a pound so $33 per 33 pound bale cheapest I could find except for a friend who can get it for .29 cents a pound but will be some time before he can get it.

I got it locally, well an hour away in Orlando at http://www.tropicalplantproducts.com/tpp/default.aspx    nice people, they supply the orchid trade and fern trade mostly wholesale sales but do sell retail.  I picked it up because the shipping was horrendous as you can imagine with that much weight.
