Nice video, Henry. I hope it turns out to be a strong tree.

What a spindly, thin looking plant. Hopefully after a few months in the sun it will thicken up a bit.

Looks similar to the TC Olympian I get from WellSpring nursery, mine it's doing great and growing into a nice little tree.
The little TC trees are a blast to watch grow, it's the closest you can get to raising them from seed but know exactly what your getting. I will defiantly buy more!

Last year, I ordered the same variety, "Olympian", from Wellspring Gardens. I also got some shrimpy looking trees. Within a few months, growing in full sun, the trees took off and grew so tall that they had to be nipped back constantly. A few of the trees even set a few main-crop figs...which were also nipped off. I'm sure that I will get some figs off my T-C "Olympian" and "Black Mission" trees in the coming, fig season.
In Zone 9B/California, I'm sure your small little trees will do just fine once they become acclimated to your growing conditions. Good luck.

Hey frank, glad to here your tc's are doing well. I wish the same for mine.
I wonder when hirts and wellsprings are going to get smart and TC the best varieties like black madeira, ischia black, and others.

Hi, Now, that's a thin tree . Definitively not raised from cuttings. At least you've got 2 stems already. Are TC always that thin ?
Good luck raising her !

Yeah TC's always look pretty skinny. And they've grown pretty slow for me.

The trees I got from Wellspring Gardens in April 2014 (presumably TC trees) were not nearly that weak and spindly looking. They were small, but the wood was relatively well hardened off. (See third pic.) Cheers, Jim
