Are Ronde de Bordeaux and Rouge de Bordeaux one and the same? If not, are they similar? I noticed UCD has Rouge de Bordeaux but not Ronde. I was wondering if they are synonymous. |

No. Not the same. Rouge de Bordeaux is synonymous with Pastilliere, however. |

There are a few dark french figs that get discussed quite a bit here:
Keep in mind synonyms are often used for various varieties, so these AKAs aren't necessarily true all the time. |

Hi Paul, here are a couple of pics of my Rouge de Bordeaux (Pastiliere) from last season. First fig from a young plant, but excellent, as is Ronde de Bordeaux. |

Does pastiliere need the,wasp. I have itbut qas told it needs the wasp |

I believe it has very low fig retention rates without the wasp. |
