Hi I am new to the from and was looking at the Petite Negri Fig  and came across other names AKA Petite Negra Negronne Ischia Black just a few is this the same fig tree or all them different Types Thanks JOE

Hi, Joe.  And welcome.  I have also heard those are all synonyms, but a few people claim they're different.  Hopefully you'll get some answers from people growing them side by side.

thanks I don't want to have the same fig tree that I think is different by five names etc etc

Thx for asking this question. In my quest to collect various varieties. I usually find out after the fact that I am duplicating varieties because of various names for the same type. Like Brunswick/Magnolia and Violette de bordeaux/negronne. I wonder f someone's created a handy decoder ring for all the various names.

If you get a real petit negri that's different than the others.  All similar sounding names (petit negra, for example) are brown turkey.

Negronne and Ischia Black are different from each other and different from petit negri and brown turkey.  Just be sure you're getting them from a reliable source or you'll never know what you're getting until it fruits.
