The craziness continues as my niece's (aka bug girl-see bug in ear for details) wedding approaches. We have been going full speed as the rehearsal dinner party at our home spun out of control when it was decided that instead of a dinner for the wedding party it would pre-wedding picnic/swimming party for all the guests who arrived early. You are wondering where all this is leading...
Well a few weeks ago we decide we needed a break. My mom and I drove to Pigeon Forge, Tenn. then she went on to Alabama with my sister. That left me to drive home to Morresville, NC. I decided on the way home I should take a little detour and pick up my PawPaw trees and check out Cliff's other fruit trees. Ok so it was a 3 hour detour but I really did not know when I would get the chance to do this. Traffic was bad and my GPS became useless and I had spotty cell phone service but I got there.
Cliff is a great guy and had a cool selection of stuff including figs! Despite the long drive I am thinking I will need to go back and check out some of the other fruit trees when they bearing fruit (maybe do a little tasting).
I came back with the following Paw Paws which will be planted in the fall.
Rebecca's Gold Summer Delight Halvin's Sidewinder Maria's Joy Mammoth
Still waiting on a Halvin's but should get one sooner or later. Yes at some point I will have pictures but not this time.
Happy growing all.

Detours make life interesting. Congratulations, to you, and to your family.

I really wanted to be there but there was no chance with everything else that needed doing. Miss all of you folks too.
