Hey fellow fig-heads!

My first post here after a long time of lurking in the shadows, hehe! I'm quite new to growing figs but this summer I'm hoping for my first substantial crop of 50-60 figs, which I'm thrilled about considering I started collecting last summer. Anyways, it seems like I've been waiting forever for the first ones to ripen but they just seem to sit there doing nothing.

Based on the picture and that the tree has 25 figs on it in a 4 gallon container, how long will I've to wait for them to start swelling?

The tree is quite rootbound so my second question is whether or not I should repot it now or wait until dormancy break next spring?

Oh and maybe I should mention that I'm in Sweden in zone equivalent with USDA 7a

Hi and welcome It can take anywhere from 90 to 120 days ....of .when a figlet shows to ripening .....seems like they sit in that stagnation state forever and then all of a sudden start to swell. You can repot now as long as you don't disturb the rootball....
