I know we're here to talk figs, but I have a baby cherry tree growing right next to my figs and something is attacking it. I'm afraid whatever's eating the leaves might go after my fig leaves, if not already. |

Looks exactly like my cherry tree. Japanese Beetle is my guess. |

Could be cucumber beetles, earwigs, etc.. Check around 10 o'clock at night with a flashlight |

Jap beetles for sure. Their trademark is skelotinized leaves. |

Does not look much like my cherry tree leaves - mine looked like brown lace when the Japanese beetles got hold of them. After some Triazide spray the new leaves look better. |

Ok, so I looked around, no Japanese beetles on the tree. I took pictures and noted a black ladybug like beetle with a red dot - could that be the culprit? |
