LSU purple had yellow or amber interior, This one seems to have almost pink interior. Celeste variants can push this kind if leaves. Probably a Celeste variant?

But Celeste varieteis are supposed to be sweet, and initial post mention is was very light in sweetness. I don't know.

Hi, Greenman62!  I'm new with figs but I just wanted to say that you tree looks healthy.  The purple fig looks yummy!  I'll wait to see what the consensus is here on the type.

thanks for the feedback.

the size isnt normal right ?
i am guessing with this being its very first fruit,
size and taste might not be normal ?

i know this happens with other fruit trees
but, i dont know much about figs.

i am also not much of a taste-tester/connoisseur.
ive only tasted 4-5 types of figs in my life.

the only ones i ever ate regular, was from when i was a kid
and i dont think anyone ever knew the name/type of the tree.

LSU and Celeste are both fairly common here. (New Orleans)

Hey greenman62. I am from the slidell area. What you got there is a immature lsu purple. I have pucs to show a immature fig and a mature fig. Check it out what you think. The first pic is a immature fig from first year young tree. Others are from a two year old or so tree
