My un protected figs in zone 6 are still getting ripe fruit even though our temps are getting low and had a few light frost. all were top killed last winter too. im making a list of cold hardy figs that grow well unprotected and still give a crop. 4 years in on research. |

88F today. Actually seeing some second main crop figs ripen.
Hi, Pitandiego, wondering what advice u can give me about what labeling method u use for labeling your trees. Eventually i will need to do something. My other fruit trees have either lost their label or its faded to where i cant read it but thats not a problem because i only have ONE orange tree and ONE lemon tree. Eventually I will have several fig trees and i dont want to forget or mix up varieties.
|

Still ripening figs here in NC as well. My harvested sweet potatoes and white potatoes think it is strong and the figs keep putting on babies. I should get some more satsumas soon too. |

Hey Jon, do you label the tree or the pot? I thought about getting some of those tags years ago. How much are they selling for now? |
